The concept of Friendly Business Awards introduced by JCI Belfast was developed in Dublin for the first time in 2007. The aim of the project is to acknowledge businesses that actually cater for the needs of the community and thus their clients. Businesses are created by people and as such they are an integral part of communities. Therefore it is of great importance to recognize the standards that should be met and observed by those involved in day-to-day running of businesses. The competition was launched on Tuesday 23rd February 2010 in McGrattans Cafe and Bar, 76 Fitzwilliam Lane, Baggot Street, Dublin 2 at 8pm. The Friendly Business Awards 2010 will acknowledge businesses operating within the following categories: - Customer Care/Friendliness.
- Eco Friendliness
- Shop layout/Design
- Disability Access
Registration for the 2010 edition has now completed. The Awards Ceremony will take place on the 17th May in the Mansion House (Dawson Street) having the Lord Mayor of Dublin Cllr. Emer Costello as a special guest, along with key note speaker Emer Jameson, Managing Director at yourlocal.ie , JCI Ireland President Mark Kelly and JCI Dublin President Laura Borlea.
